Who’s Behind the Green New Deal? Big Money Backs Ocasio-Cortez Socialist Dream Project

The Green New Deal blueprint introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was crafted by three far-left organizations and is being pushed by a coalition of well-funded professional progressive groups and known leftist agitators.
Some of the organizations helping to promote the Green New Deal have ties to financing from billionaire George Soros and trace their roots to such radical groups as Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter.

Earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez posted an 11-page Google document in the form of a nonbinding legislative resolution that has become the most authoritative version of the Green New Deal, a broad outline for the current conception of the socialist-style plan.

Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal resolution, introduced along with Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), has already been endorsed by more than 45 Democratic representatives. The deal received high-profile endorsements from Senators Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Bernie Sanders.

The Green New Deal seeks, as the New Yorker recently put it, “nothing less than a total overhaul of our national infrastructure.”

The utopian deal demands 100 percent of all buildings in the U.S. convert to clean energy, calls for the removal of all greenhouse gases from the entire atmosphere, and includes such non-“green” clauses as a federal jobs guarantee while protecting the right of all workers to organize and unionize.

It also pledges “affordable, safe and adequate housing” for “all people of the United States.”

The wealth-spreading deal aims to “virtually eliminate poverty in the United States and to make prosperity, wealth and economic security available to everyone participating in the transformation.”

The Green New Deal was crafted by Ocasio-Cortez along with three groups — the Sunrise Movement, Justice Democrats and a group calling itself New Consensus.

Nick Sandmann’s Lawyers File Massive Lawsuit Against The Washington Post

Lawyers representing Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann filed a massive $250 million lawsuit against The Washington Post on Tuesday and warned “this is only the beginning.”

“Today, Lin Wood and Todd McMurtry filed their first lawsuit on behalf of Nicholas Sandmann against The Washington Post,” Sandmann’s lawyers said in a statement. “The lawsuit filed is included below. The suit seeks $250 million in both compensatory and punitive damages. Lin and Todd will continue to bring wrongdoers before the court to seek damages in compensation for the harm so many have done to the Sandmann family. This is only the beginning.”

The lawsuit accuses The Washington Post of targeting Sandmann “because he was the white, Catholic student wearing a red ‘“Make America Great Again’ souvenir cap on a school field trip to the January 18 March for Life in Washington, D.C. when he was unexpectedly and suddenly confronted by Nathan Phillips (‘Phillips’), a known Native American activist, who beat a drum and sang loudly within inches of his face (‘the January 18 incident’).”

“In targeting and bullying Nicholas by falsely accusing him of instigating the January 18 incident, the Post conveyed that Nicholas engaged in acts of racism by “swarming” Phillips, “blocking” his exit away from the students, and otherwise engaging in racist misconduct,” the lawsuit continued. “The Post ignored basic journalist standards because it wanted to advance its well-known and easily documented, biased agenda against President Donald J. Trump (“the President”) by impugning individuals perceived to be supporters of the President.”

“Today, @LLinWood and I filed a suit seeking $250 million dollars in damages on behalf of Nicholas Sandmann against The Washington Post,” attorney Todd V. McMurtry tweeted. “This is just the first of many.”

Hypnotizing the World: Omar Has Ties to Radical Anti-Israel, Anti-American Group

Upon her election to Congress, Omar received a wave of glowing media coverage as the first Somali-American Muslim legislator. Since, she has come out in favor of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement against Israel, and has called Israel “evil,” and accused the only democracy in the Middle East of “hypnotizing the world.”

This week Omar received widespread condemnation for again making anti-Semitic remarks on Twitter, and was forced to apologize.

Her views on several issues align with the group Witness for Peace, whose campaigns include calls to “stop ICE raids,” issuing a “solidarity statement” with migrant caravans, and calling for the return of the “illegally occupied Guantanamo Naval Base to the Cuban people!”

The group facilitates travel to Cuba, and attacks the Trump administration as “regressing us toward the old unjust, counterproductive Cold War posture of past decades.”

Witness for Peace highlighted one trip taken by Mercy Carpenter, a community organizer, artist, and farmer, who said the people of Cuba face “oppression resulting in evidence of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism.” Cuba is a communist country.

Carpenter said she “felt right at home,” though she said “every space we visited echoed that their work is committed to inspiring daily transformations against Transphobia, Homophobia, Racism, Ageism, Sexism, Ableism and Colorism.”

Nevertheless, she felt “honored to have visited a country” with free healthcare, where “housing and food are provided for all.”

In season 4, episode 17 of the hit television show “Friends,” roommates Joey and Chandler discover that a glitch in their cable has resulted in free and continuous pornography. The plumber who happens to be in the apartment warns them never to turn it off or they might lose the free porn forever.

Chandler and Joey heed the warning, leaving it on constantly. They soon find their reality warped by over-exposure to the porn fantasy world.

“I was just at the bank, and there was a really hot teller. And she didn’t ask me to go back into the vault and do it,” Chandler exclaims.

“Same kind of thing happened to me,” Joey says, echoing Chandler’s shock. “A woman delivered my pizza and then just left after I gave her the money.” Chandler asks whether she wanted to come inside or see the bedroom. “No!” Joey says, in shock and outrage.

Then it dawns on both of them: they’ve been watching too much porn and it’s warped their view of reality. The episode brilliantly employs humor to warn of the dangers of excessively indulging in titillating fantasy.

Cut to 2019, and an era in which the American left daily imbibes a different kind of fantasy porn to titillate the insatiable thirst for outrage. Enter Jussie Smollett, an actor who knows his audience. He is not the first actor to turn to a type of porn to revive his career. So he scripts two characters to help him act out a scene of outrage porn for the liberal media in which he pretends to be victimized by two Donald Trump supporters.

We in the real world laugh while shaking our heads at the Idiot Left. Anymore that means just about anybody on the Left.

Nancy Pelosi and Goons represent the Old Left in terms of both policy and age. New chick Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Legions represent the Newer Left (“Newer Left” because New Left was used in the sixties, and besides, it seems incongruous to style Nancy Pelosi as any kind of “new”).

The Old Left pretends to have a kinder vision for mankind in its understanding of the Constitution. These people don’t just burn it up, though Barama did give that a good go; they try to make it sound at least as though they believe in the Bill of Rights and all that jazz.

It’s true that they don’t always try very hard, though. Nancy doesn’t always take it seriously, but juxtaposed with the Newer Left, she seems almost a hard-right constitutionalist.

Latecomer Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t seem to have heard of the Constitution or the principles behind it. To her, once you win office, you get to do pretty much whatever you want. Just tell opponents to get used to it.
