The newly empowered democrats in the House have come up with a bill that would tilt all election in their favor by letting felons vote and removing all voter fraud protections. HR-1, known as the For the People Act, is a huge Constitutional mess that stands no chance of passing the Republican controlled Senate. This thing is such a mess that even the ACLU is calling it unconstitutional.
In a move that surprises no one, HR-1 was introduced by socialist moron Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It is expected to come up for a vote this week in the House and with democrats in the majority, it is expected to pass. Here’s Republican Rep. Steve Scalise to explain just how bad of a bill this is:

After promising to run a transparent House, Democrats let special interest groups write a 622-page federal takeover of elections blatantly tailored to use taxpayer money to enrich candidates and campaign consultants with a 6 to 1 taxpayer-funded match of small dollar donations.

Follow the money: H.R. 1 diverts taxpayer funds into candidates’ and consultants’ pockets by expanding the use of campaign funds to include child care and other personal expenses. Democrats are pursuing “reforms” that benefit themselves, not the American people.

Republicans weren’t consulted on H.R. 1, and Democrats once again voted down every single Republican amendment to the bill. It sets up a system of fraud, abuse, and misuse of taxpayer funds. Bottom line: H.R. 1 leaves the future and integrity of our elections in doubt.

And Scalise is not alone in his concerns over this hot mess. The ACLU sent a letter to the democrats in charge of the House Rules Committee, begging them to reconsider HR-1.
“The American Civil Liberties Union, on behalf of its 3 million members, supporters and activists, opposes H.R. 1, the For the People Act of 2019 as it was reported out of the House Administration Committee. We strongly urge the Rules Committee to allow floor amendments that would mitigate our concerns with the provisions that unconstitutionally infringe the freedoms of speech and association,” wrote the ACLU.
When the democrats have lost the support of leftists like the ACLU, they have lost everything.
“There are also provisions that unconstitutionally impinge on the free speech rights of American citizens and public interest organizations. They will have the effect of harming our public discourse by silencing necessary voices that would otherwise speak out about the public issues of the day,” the ACLU wrote.
If democrats can’t impinge on Constitutional rights, they literally have nothing else to do and no reason to exist.
The ACLU and Steve Scalise’s concerns over HR-1 are valid, but unnecessary because if the House passes it, the bill dies in the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already said its dead on arrival.
“This sprawling 622-page doorstop is never going to become law. I certainly don’t plan to even bring it to the floor here in the Senate,” said McConnell.
And because “Cocaine Mitch” is a hilarious guy, he gave this answer on why he would hold a vote for the Green New Deal (another AOC atrocity) but not the For The People Act.

Democrats retook control of the House last November because they campaigned on improving the lives of average Americans. So far all they have done is launch about a thousand investigations into the freely-elected POTUS, introduced articles of impeach against President Trump, passed 2 gun control bills, dropped the cow-killing socialist Green New Deal, and now the unconstitutional For The People Act. Clearly democrats are liars and anyone who voted for them is an idiot. Anyone who votes for them again is too stupid to vote and should be banned from casting a ballot by a real voter’s rights act.
