Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders continues to defend the idea that the nation’s most heinous criminals should be allowed to have their say in the democratic process from behind bars.
The braying socialist crank who has done the previously unthinkable by mainstreaming the ideas of Marx and Lenin in the USA may have really stepped in it when he affirmed that rapists, murderers, pedophiles, and even the Boston Marathon bomber should be granted the privilege of voting in elections.
Comrade Bernie had previously expressed such sentiment but on Monday, he did so again on CNN’s marathon town hall featuring several top Democrats who are vying for the nomination and the prize of being shellacked by President Trump next November.

Senator Sanders’ bizarre reasoning even seemed to stun the CNN hosts because who could possibly justify allowing child molesters and a monster like Dzhokhar Tsarnaev who in 2013 killed three and maimed hundreds of innocent victims when his bomb blew up near the finish line at the Boston Marathon?
But there is a good reason why Trump came up with the nickname of “Crazy Bernie” and the geriatric closet communist proved it when instead of walking back his controversial remarks, he took to Twitter to triple-down.
More than 30 countries around the world today such as Canada, South Africa and Finland allow prisoners to vote. This is not a radical idea.
Every American citizen must be able to vote. Period.

Via The Washington Free Beacon, “Sanders Continues to Defend Call for Prisoners to Vote: ‘This Is Not a Radical Idea’”:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) is continuing his call for prisoners in the United States to be allowed to vote, tweeting Wednesday “this is not a radical idea” by citing other nations that have such a policy like Canada.
Sanders drew flak this week after saying he would support “terrible people” behind bars having the right to vote, such as convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Although he’s made similar remarks before, his remarks at Monday’s CNN town hall in New Hampshire have drawn outsized media attention.
“More than 30 countries around the world today such as Canada, South Africa and Finland allow prisoners to vote,” he tweeted. “This is not a radical idea. Every American citizen must be able to vote. Period.”

Once again, a socialist is justifying whacky ideas by holding up foreign countries as shining examples of what America should be like and while Bernie faces increasing criticism for calling for Dems to harvest votes from those who are a menace to society, his defenders have his back.
Team AOC is definitely down with getting ballots into the hands of convicted criminals as her Svengali Saikat Chakrabarti tweeted out his own support of voting rights for the incarcerated.

Bernie’s devotees are loyal to a fault and nothing that he says will ever sway them but this is so far out of the mainstream that he may have created a self-inflicted wound that there will be no recovering from because such a proposal is electoral poison with mainstream and moderate voters in the swing states that Sanders needs to win in order to achieve his socialist revolution.
While he’s bleeding out, at least one of his opponents for the nomination is capitalizing with establishment pet Mayor Pete predicting that Bernie is already a dead man walking.

How bad is it for Bernie? He even lost the support of Hollywood moonbat Cher:
Still, it’s hard to rule out the cagey old kook who sent shockwaves through the political establishment when he nearly beat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primaries and he and his faithful cult aren’t going to go down without a fight.
