Please don’t eat here. When does any visit to a Waffle House go well? I mean unless you’re seeking action, why go? There’s always shootings and brawls, the employees spit in your food when they aren’t preoccupied with fighting each other or transforming intoxicated customers into cheeseburgers . . . just stay away. Oh, and if those things aren’t enough to discourage you from dining there, there’s always a chance you’ll get hit by a car as well . . .
. . . as happened on on the first of this month in Arab, Alabama. Arab? Alabama? The two things don’t seem to mix, but it really is a town.
But now a thugette with a firearm shot a cop and another individual at a Waffle House in Chattanooga.
Chattanooga police are searching for a woman they say was involved in a shooting incident that injured a police officer and one other person early Sunday.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. at a Waffle House, located at 2024 East 23rd St. Officers responding to a call of an officer who had been shot found two victims: the 30-year-old officer and a 32-year-old man, according to a news release. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
During the investigation at the scene, investigators learned that earlier that night, the officer had seen an argument outside in the parking lot. When he went outside to break it up, the officer saw a woman holding a gun. He attempted to disarm her and the gun went off, striking him and another man.
“The gun went off.” Sorry, that doesn’t happen. She shot those two. The only guns that just “go off” that I can recall are early World War II Sten guns. When dropped it had a tendency to fire because it had “a soft brass bolt allowing the sear contact area to wear down quickly.” Hey, there’s no description of what weapon this thugette had, but I’m willing to bet it wasn’t a Sten. Said gun didn’t just go off. The trigger was pulled. And I’m fairly certain she pulled it.
The woman, identified by police as 26-year-old Brandi Burton, is not in custody and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. She is facing two charges of aggravated assault and one charges of reckless endangerment.
These charges stemmed from a previous incident in which she tried to run over a police officer who was arresting a girl for shoplifting. Oh, and her kids were in the car at the time. What a nice lady.
The officer been released from the hospital and the other victim is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police ask anyone with information on the incident to call 423-698-2525. Callers can remain anonymous.
Rather than call police, it might just be a better idea to kill her. Why waste money by jailing this P.O.S.?
