The liberal outrage du jour is that Trump is planning on sending illegal aliens to Fort Sill, which had previously been used to inter Japanese Americans during WWII. The liberal narrative is that Trump is sending “asylum seekers” to concentration camps because he’s worse than Hitler. There are 3 major facts missing from this narrative that would help put it in perspective: 1) Fort Sill is an active Army base, 2) FDR, who sent the Japanese to internment caps was a democrat, and 3) Obama also used Fort Sill to house illegal immigrants. But…Trump!

The Trump Administration has opted to use an Army base in Oklahoma to hold growing numbers of immigrant children in its custody after running out of room at government shelters.
Fort Sill, an 150-year-old installation once used as an internment camp for Japanese-Americans during World War II, has been selected to detain 1,400 children until they can be given to an adult relative, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The agency said Fort Sill will be used “as a temporary emergency influx shelter” to help ease the burden on the government as it prepares to house a record number of minors even though it already operates about 168 facilities and programs in 23 states.

Not only did all of these liberals forget that it was FDR, one of their own, who put Japanese Americans in interments camps, not a single one of them who tweeted this article actually read it. Check this out:
Using military bases in this way is not new. In 2014, the Obama Administration placed around 7,700 migrant children on bases in Texas, California and Oklahoma, including Fort Sill.
What? You mean Trump is doing the exact same thing that Obama did? Why is it only horrifying when Trump does it? It’s almost like liberals have selective outrage or something.
Can you imagine if Trump was spying on Americans, using the IRS to attack his enemies, jailed reporters and their sources, let American die in an embassy attack, and sent billions in cash to a hostile foreign government? It would be the end of all things.
Another missing piece in this faux liberal outrage is that Trump actually offered to place these illegal aliens in sanctuary cities. Liberals rejected this offer and accused the President of racism and stuff. The democrats won’t let the President send the illegals back home and they won’t allow him to release them in their backyards. Trump’s got to put them somewhere and since the left is no help suggesting a place, he went with what Obama did with them.
