The liberal media was this close to having themselves an actual pro-Trump/anti-black hate crime, but like all the rest it ended up being a hoax. A black man, an ex-NFL player no less, had his businesses burglarized and vandalized with N-word and “MAGA” graffiti. Unfortunately for him, cops caught him down the street with all the evidence they needed to prove he was responsible for the damage and theft. Oh well, I’m sure President Trump will tweet something the liberal media can take out of context to prove he’s responsible for the non-exitsnace wave of hate in this country.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard of Edawn Louis Coughman before but apparently he played in the NFL from 2012 to 2016, including stints with the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. He also owns a pair of business in Georgia; a pizza place called Create and Bake Restaurant and Coughman’s Creamery, which I’m assuming is a coffee joint.
Yahoo! News reports that on Wednesday someone in the shopping center where both of Coughman’s business are located saw a man burglarizing them. The witness told the police the culprit was driving a black Chevy Silverado pick-up truck with no license plates.
Both of Coughman’s business had been trashed, with property stolen and hateful graffiti spray painted all over the walls. That graffiti included the N-word, “monkey,” a swastika, and “MAGA,” President Trump’s “make America Great Again” slogan.
Luckily enough, police saw a vehicle matching the description in the vicinity and pulled it over. Actually, responding officers saw a black Chevy Silverado with no licenses plates driving out of the shopping center where Coughman’s businesses are located.
Inside the truck was none other than Edwan Coughman. In the back of the truck were several flat-screen TVs, still atached to brackets with chucks of drywall, like they had been ripped out of the wall. Coincidentally enough, flat-screen TVs had been stolen in the burglary of Coughman’s businesses.
Even weirder, cops found two cans of black spray paint in the truck and Coughman had spray paint on his hands. What are the chances?
The coincidences got downright eerie because cops said the burglar/vandal/hater had pried open the back doors of the businesses, leaving yellow paint on the door frames and they also found a yellow crowbar in Coughman’s truck.
Compounding Coughman’s predicament, he had called his insurance company to report the theft and vandalism, but he never actually reported it to the police.
Needless to say, cops are certain that Coughman perpetuated this burglary/hate crime hoax and arrested him. He has been charged with insurance fraud, making a false report, and driving without a license plate. What? No faking a hate crime charge? If this had ben an actually hate crime it would be multiple felonies, so hoaxing a hate crime should carry the same seriousness of charges.
Many times with hate crimes, especially when it’s offensive graffiti, the perpetrator must undergo racial sensitivity training. Here with Coughman, he should at least have to apologize to all white people for trying to frame them as racists. If nothing else, he owes the whole world an apology for that dreadlocks skullet thing he’s got going on.
Obviously Coughman’s businesses were in trouble and he was trying to scam some insurance money. He must have looked at what a bang-up job Jussie Smollett did in faking a hate crime and figured he could do at least as well. Technically, he’s right.
The good news here is that the liberal media-hyped Trump-inspired wave of hate is a complete work of fiction. This should free up lefty outrage for other things like enforcing existing immigration laws and a strong economy.
