Rachel Maddow To Play Straight Character On Lesbian Batwoman TV Show

This is more confusing than trying to figure out the pronouns at a transgender circus. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who in real life is a lesbian, will be playing a straight character on the new lesbian Batwoman show, who in real life is straight. It’s like if Opposite Day was a TV show that nobody wanted to watch. Oh wait, MSNBC is already that. Sorry, I have no idea what this is, which confirms how truly confusing it is.

Here’s some unexciting news from The Hollywood Reporter:

Rachel Maddow is heading to The CW’s Batwoman.

The MSNBC host…will have a key role in the Ruby Rose-led drama.

Maddow takes on the role of Vesper Fairchild, a character from the Batman comics. Fairchild is a television and radio personality who had a romantic relationship with Bruce Wayne (Batman).

The big twist in this Batwoman show is the title character is now a social justice warrior lesbian. Sounds awesome, doesn’t it?

“I know no one’s going to believe this is true, but it’s true. I’m ‘Vesper Fairchild’ in the new Batwoman TV show that starts this Sunday night on The CW. My character is soooo not me,” said Maddow.

She’s not kidding about that.

We already know Maddow thinks men are icky, so playing a character who banged Batman is going to be a challenge for her. There is also the challenge for the audience because of how aesthetically displeasing Maddow is. Luckily the producers came up with a brilliant idea:

The Batwoman catch is that Maddow’s Fairchild will never appear onscreen — at least there are no current plans for her to do so. Still, Maddow is expected to “appear” in multiple episodes.

See people, this is exactly how you solve a problem. Nobody can stand looking at Rachel Maddow’s face so they simply won’t show it. Presumably Maddow’s voice will be in the show, which also unpleasant, but better than her ugly mug.

“We consider Vesper Fairchild to be the sardonic Voice of Gotham. In addition to Rachel’s interest in Batwoman, we thought she’d be the perfect casting choice because her own hard-hitting journalism wildly contrasts Vesper’s penchant for snark, gossip and criticism of female superheroes,” said Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries.

Obviously this woman has no idea who Rachel Maddow is. Hard-hitting reporting? She’s the far-left version of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Maddow’s whole schtick is snark, gossip, and tearing down Republican women (female superheroes).

On top of being wrong, this show runner’s logic is as twisted as Maddow’s face. She’s saying Maddow, who is not an actor, is perfect to play Vesper Fairchild because she is completely opposite of the character. This is like saying Michael Moore is perfect to play Usain Bolt because his white obesity is in stark contrast to Bolt’s penchant for being black and in good physical shape.

The twisted logic gets even worse when you consider what is really going on here. This is a low-budget leftist “woke” lesbian Batwoman show on the CW, which is about 5 things that guarantee nobody will watch it. To “fix” this, they’ve added Rachel Maddow, someone who superhero fans couldn’t care less about, to the cast. See people, this is exactly how you don’t solve a problem.
