It wouldn’t be fake news if it was true. CNN’s Jake Tapper is reporting that President Trump has issued a “formal threat” against former National Security Advisor John Bolton to block the release of his book. Shockingly, neither of these things are true. Trump didn’t issue a threat nor did he attempt to block the release of the book. Making this the most CNN thing ever, all the proof they are lying is in their own reporting.
Disgraced National Security Advisor wrote a book about his time in Trump’s White House and submitted it for review to make sure there isn’t any classified information. In a perfectly-timed leek this week, it was reported that Bolton claims in the book that President Trump told him he was holding aid to Ukraine until they announced an investigation into the crooked Bidens. Hey look, it’s that thing democrats said Trump did and impeached him for. What an amazing coincidence. This was a total democratic party dirty trick and an effort by Bolton to drum up interest in his book.
CNN is contractually obligated to spread democratic party disinformation, so they need to make it seem like Bolton’s book is legit and portray president Trump as an evil dictator who is trying to silence the truth. With that in mind, here’s Jake Tapper’s contribution to the opposition party propaganda:
White House has issued formal threat to Bolton to keep him from publishing book
A formal threat? That’s sounds bad. What exactly is a formal threat? Is it worse than a regular threat? CNN is hoping you think so.
The White House has issued a formal threat to former national security adviser John Bolton to keep him from publishing his book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir,” sources familiar with the matter tell CNN.
In a letter to Bolton’s lawyer, a top official at the National Security Council wrote the unpublished manuscript of Bolton’s book “appears to contain significant amounts of classified information” and couldn’t be published as written.
The letter, which is dated January 23, said some of the information was classified at the “top secret” level, meaning it “reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave harm to the national security.”
“The manuscript may not be published or otherwise disclosed without the deletion of this classified information,” the letter read.
You may notice that there isn’t anything that resembles a threat and you won’t find one anywhere in CNN’s reporting. You also won’t find anything that even suggests that the White House is trying to block the release of Bolton’s book.
And when we check out the actual letter, it becomes even more clear that CNN is full of shit:
The basic gist of the letter is that during the review process, classified information was found. Bolton is being informed that he can’t include the top secret info in his book, which is not a threat, it’s the law and an agreement he signed on to.
As for trying to block the book, the letter states they want to work with Bolton to help him identify the classified material which must be removed so he can publish the book.
“We will do our best to work with you to ensure your client’s ability to tell his story,” reads the letter.
What a threat, huh?
A more accurate headline would be: White House told Bolton to remove classified material from manuscript before publication which is how Fox news covered it.

Those are all misleading, but no one fake newses like CNN.
