Holy crap! I would rather write about anything than the coronavirus, but that’s all there is in the news right now. Hopefully President Trump tweets about immigration or something to send the liberal media into a frenzy, but until then, there is this: Bernie Sanders says that the coronavirus will kill more Americans than WWII and offers socialism as a fix to stop the carnage.
Joe Biden offered his solution to the corona virus, which basically involves not calling it a “foreign virus.” It’s unclear how that stops the pandemic, but Joe is not a guy who earns his keep by making sense. Bernie is trailing Joe in the democratic primaries so he has to ramp up the hysteria to get some attention.
According to Comrade Bernie, the coronavirus will be a bigger slaughter than the worst loss of of life in human history:
“The crisis we face from the coronavirus is on a scale of a major war, and we must act accordingly. The number of casualties may actually be even higher than what the armed forces experienced in World War II. In other words, we have a major, major crisis and we must act accordingly,” said Bernie.
Well shit, that sounds damn serious.
405,000 Americans died in WWII, but Bernie hates America and he wasn’t just talking about our boys. A total of 20 million soldiers died on all sides in the Big War, with another 40 million civilians, plus there were those 6 million who died in Nazi concentration camps. Bernie said “armed forces” so lets just pick apart his bullshit prediction that more than 20 million Americans will die from the coronavirus.
The Spanish flu outbreak in 1917 claimed 500,000 Americans. In 1957 the Asian flu killed 70,000 Americans. How is this current flu-like outbreak going to kill more people than every pandemic in American history, considering we have better medical care and more advanced disease control methods?
Bernie can’t answer that, but he’s pretty sure the only way to stop the coronavirus is through socialism.
Politico reports:
In a speech from Burlington, Vt., the Democratic presidential candidate called for drastic action to combat the spread of the disease — from guaranteeing unemployment insurance and building emergency homeless shelters to enlisting medical residents and retired doctors to aid with the response effort.
The Vermont senator also pointed to the outbreak as further evidence for the need to pass “Medicare for All,” lamenting that the U.S. is at a “severe disadvantage” compared to the rest of the developed world because it does not guarantee health care to everyone.
Bernie wants to stop a WWII-like catastrophe with socialism, which is absolutely ridiculous. WWII was started by the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (the Nazis) and ended by the capitalists of the United Sates of America.
You wanna stop something like WWII? Do it with capitalists, as they have proven to end these kind of human tragedies. You wanna start something like WWII, go with the socialists because they are shit people.
As a side note: I wrote this article late Thursday night and hopefully will not write one damn thing about the coronavirus on Friday. I don’t care if I have to do 500 words on Lady Gaga’s irritable bowels, I don’t want to cover this shit any more. Hopefully Joe Biden threatens to nut-punch a voter or Ilhan Omar’s new husband turns out to be another brother, because I just can’t do coronavirus any longer.
