NYC is on lockdown. People can’t go anywhere or do anything unless it is essential like working or buying food and medicine. And then there’s the city’s jackass Mayor Bill de Blasio who drives 12 miles to Brooklyn everyday so he can go for a walk in the park. Democrats have always been the party of “do as I say not as I do” but there is a pandemic currently raging in the city, so maybe this is one of the few times he should actually lead by example.
In NYC, anyone caught not following the stay-at-home order and social distancing rules is subject to a $1000 fine. The NY Post reports, there is at least one exemption:
Mayor Bill de Blasio insisted that even during the coronavirus pandemic, he opts to exercise in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park — 12 miles from Gracie Mansion — in order to remain an effective leader.
Here’s a fair question: when has this asshole ever been an effective leader? Violating the coronavirus rules isn’t going to suddenly transform him into even a reasonable leader let alone an effective one.
“I go get my exercise like everyone else. I go to my home neighborhood. It’s part of what helps me just continue to work nonstop,” said de Blasio.
A 24-mile round trip and walking in the park ain’t work.
De Blasio has been spotted — and called out on social media — for his recent strolls inside Prospect Park with first lady Chirlane McCray.
On Monday night, he shrugged off the criticism, and defended his inter-borough trips.
“This is just something that we shouldn’t focus on. There’s much better things to talk about,” de Blasio said.
Yeah, pay no attention to the privileged hypocrite, let’s focus on blaming President Trump for the plague China unleashed upon the world.
And speaking of privilege, he really does believe he is so important that the rules don’t apply to him.
“My situation is particular and I am here serving people,” de Blasio said. “And I’m just doing something I think will help me to be the most effective.”
Again, how is this clown effective. He was literally telling people a couple of weeks ago to get down to Chinatown and eat in Chinese restaurants to counter President Trump’s “racism” of calling the coronavirus the “Chinese virus.”
In related news, Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot is also claiming executive privilege while ignoring stay-at-home orders. The Chicago Tribune reports:
Mayor Lori Lightfoot defended getting a haircut over the weekend even though barbers and stylists were shut down under the state’s stay-at-home order, saying she’s the face of the city and the woman who cut her hair wore a mask.
Asked about photos on social media showing her with a stylist, Lightfoot acknowledged getting a haircut, then said the public cares more about other issues.
“I think what really people want to talk about is, we’re talking about people dying here. We’re talking about significant health disparities. I think that’s what people care most about,” said Lightfoot.
Pay no attention to the privileged hypocrite because “Orange man bad” and coronavirus is racist.
“The woman who cut my hair had a mask and gloves on so we are, I am practicing what I’m preaching,” Lightfoot said.
Not if barbers and stylists have been shutdown for being non-essential, which they have.
Lightfoot actually made a PSA about her stay-at-home order and scolded people that, “Getting your roots done is not essential!” A reporter asked her about this glaring hypocrisy to which she answered:
“I’m the public face of this city. I’m on national media and I’m out in the public eye,” said Lightfoot.
Just like how walking in a park can’t make Bill de Blasio an effective leader, having her hair styled won’t make Lori Lightfoot attractive. She is one seriously ugly bitch.
How is that a hairstyle? That’s like the hair that goes underneath a wig.
If the coronavirus crisis proves anything it’s that nothing stops liberals from being lying hypocrites. In fact, this pandemic has them coming up with new and creative ways of being full of shit.
