New York dingbat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes the coronavirus is racist and targets minorities for death. She is also a socialist who thinks your money belongs to people who didn’t earn it. In her latest “a-ha” moment, AOC is demanding free funerals for minority victims of the racist coronavirus. In fact, she says the “blackest and brownest” people should be getting free funerals on the taxpayer dime. Apparently light-skinned folks are SOL.
Here’s AOC defying social distancing rules as she puts the “fun” into funeral:

“This crisis is happening in a context of racial and income inequality, which means that our lowest income and our blackest and brownest communities are the hardest hit and experiencing the largest amount of casualties due to COVID-19,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
The only place the coronavirus is happening in a context of racism is inside AOC’s badly damaged brain.
“People are losing parents and siblings and when it comes to the cost of a burial in New York City alone and in New York State alone a funeral can cost anywhere between on average 11 to 13 thousand dollars,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Clearly she doesn’t understand what the words “alone” and “on average” mean, but that’s hardly the biggest problem here. Yes, funerals can cost $13,000 but they can also cost way less. The average price of a funeral is $6,500 and a simple cremation runs about $4,000.
There are affordable options out there but somehow, AOC went the other way:
“Families, all of a sudden, have to pay 10, 20, 30 thousand dollars and they’re confronted with 20 or 30 thousand in burial funds that were unplanned,” said Ocasio-Cortez-Cortez.
Why would they have to pay $30,000 for a funeral that AOC already said only costs $10,000? Is this some of that expert socialist economics she learned between bar tending gigs? Also, generally speaking, deaths from a pandemic are unplanned.
But whatever, AOC thinks the federal government and the American taxpayer should be footing the bill so she wants ‘em to get the good funerals.
“The least we can do is stem this additional impact on a racial and income inequality wealth gap is by making sure that FEMA covers the burial funds,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
No, the least we can do is nothing, which is what we should do. I’d be all for sending the bill to China, but AOC and the democrats think it’s racist to blame the country that unleashed this plague upon the world.
Just to play along, AOC said the “blackest and brownest” people should be getting these “free” government funerals. Who decides if someone is black or brown enough to get a free funeral? FEMA? AOC? Would a new government agency need to be created to make this determination? Perhaps a Bureau of Hues?
Maybe the government could distribute paint chip cards to coroners and funeral homes saying, “you must be this black to get a free funeral.” Then they could hold the chip next to the deceased and if it’s a match or better, it’s free funeral time.
This is officially the dumbest attempt to get reparations ever, but considering the source it’s not all that shocking. The coronavirus may have peaked, but AOC’s idiocy is still on an upward trajectory.
