There is considerable liberal outrage over the shooting of a black man in Georgia by a white father and son. There is considerably less outrage of the slaying of an elderly couple in Delaware by a black man and it could be that these killing are related. The shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery has been whipped into a racial frenzy and it’s distinctly possible that a black thug executed an old couple in a veterans cemetery as payback.
Back in February, father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael saw Ahmaud Arbrey running through their neighborhood and recognized him as burglar who was caught on a home security cam. They grabbed some guns and jumped in their pickup truck to, as they said, initiate a citizen’s arrest. When they confronted the Arbrey, the black man grabbed one of the white men’s shotgun and a struggled ensued. Arbrey was shot twice and died.
Though this happened in February, Gregory and Travis McMichael were only recently arrested and charged with the killing. Liberals are now calling this a “modern day lynching” and there’s plenty of racial outrage to go around.
That brings us to a lesser reported story from Delaware in which an elderly couple, ages 85 and 86, were gunned down while visiting the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. The wife died at the scene but the husband was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The shooting caught the attention of the police, who responded almost immediately. They chased the shooter, 29-year-old Sheldon C. Francis, into a nearby wooded area where a shootout began. After several hours, police located the body of Francis who had been killed. Police say they don’t know if he died from police fire or a self-inflicted gunshot.
Police also say they don’t have a motive for the killing but are pretty sure it wasn’t robbery since Francis just ran up on the elderly couple and opened fire. The couple hasn’t been identified other than their ages and that they were from Elkton, Maryland.
Was the elderly couple white? It’s hard to say since there is very little reporting on this case. Up News Info has indicated that the couple was white, but it’s unclear where they got that information from.
Still, this horrific crime doesn’t make much sense. Why would a black guy kill two old people in a veterans cemetery? He wasn’t robbing them. They weren’t from a rival gang or trying to muscle in on his drug business. Chances are the elderly couple didn’t instigate a fight with the black man.
What does seem likely is that Francis specifically targeted the elderly couple and murdered them. The question then becomes: why? Was it because they were white? Was it because they were white and the black killer, whipped into a frenzy over the Arbrey shooting, wanted revenge against white people?
I realize there’s a lot of speculation on my part here, but the media silence on the Delaware slayings raises suspicions. It’s also not without precedent. Following the justified police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri there were dozens of incidents in which black people attacked and killed random white people for revenge and the liberal media slept on every single one.
Right now the liberal media has a perfectly good racially-charged story with the Arbrey shooting in Georgia to drive outrage and clicks. They’re not about to ruin that with the story of a black man gunning down an elderly couple in retaliation. Stay tuned. This story has a lot more secrets to give.
