Minneapolis is the epicenter of the chaos that has spread across the country following the death of black man George Floyd in police custody. The city is a literal war zone with riots, looting, and smoldering buildings. The Minneapolis city council thinks it has a great idea to make the city safer by dismantling the police department. That sound you hear is all of the decent people packing up their stuff and moving.
Jeremiah Ellison is the son of Muslim Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and a Minneapolis city councilman. Like his father, he’s a radical leftist and has this proposal to cure the ills of the city:
We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department.
And when we’re done, we’re not simply gonna glue it back together.
We are going to dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response.

Lisa Bender is the president of the Minneapolis city council and she thinks this is a super idea:

And council member Steve Fletcher says the whole city council and the mayor are ready to pull the trigger on this in a Time magazine piece:
I’m a Minneapolis City Council Member. We Must Disband the Police
Every member of the Minneapolis City Council has now expressed the need for dramatic structural change. I am one of many on the Council, including the Council President and the Chair of Public Safety, who are publicly supporting the call to disband our police department and start fresh with a community-oriented, non-violent public safety and outreach capacity.
No cops plus a city full of scumbag criminals does not equal public safety, but these kooks may have been using liberal math, which would explain why they are so far off.
The question here is, what will they replace the police with? If they are going to dismantle the police department, who is going to ensure public safety?
Jeremiah Ellison may have given a clue a few days ago. Following President Trump’s announcement that he intends to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization, Ellison made this declaration:

There you have it: Minneapolis is going to dismantle the police department and put Antifa in charge. The only thing that will be illegal in the city is “looking like a Nazi.” This is not an arrestable offense, but Antifa cowards will sucker punch people they think have Nazi haircuts.
Actually there are a couple of other laws Antifa will enforce: If you happen to love America, you will be hit in the back of then head with a baton concealed in a black dress sock. If you try to drive to work on a public street when Antifa is PMSing, your vehicle will be pelted with rocks and bottles. If you try to film Antifa, they will hit you in the head with a concrete milkshake.
Besides that, everything is good: Rioting, looting, arson, assault, etc…

Defunding the police is all the rage among leftists and the scumbags destroying cities across this country, but Minneapolis has one-upped them by calling to disband the police altogether. Meanwhile every productive person and business owner in Minneapolis is looking for a new place to live. This will be a disaster on so many levels.
