There was a brief period where the crazy left had stopped saying Trump was worse than Hitler or literal Hitler, but that’s over now. Robert De Niro is happy that Joe Biden has been declared by the liberal media as the next president, but he didn’t get Biden’s memo that liberals are supposed to pretend like they want to unite the country. The fading actor called President Trump “Hitler” and compared his supporters to Nazis. Heal the nation.
De Niro was on MSNBC thanking God that Biden “won” but he was still pissed off that over 70 million Americans voted for President Trump. He then rambled for several minutes about how Trump is clinically insane before this non-sequitur:
“It’s the same playbook as Mussolini, as Hitler, as a dictator, wannabe dictators. It’s what they’re going to do for the people, make Germany great again, make Italy great again, make America great again,” said De Niro.
There’s De Niro calling Trump “Hitler” in the dumbest way possible. First, Mussolini and Hitler weren’t wannabe dictators, they were actual dictators, and second, every politician makes promises to do things for the people, including Joe Biden.
With De Niro calling Trump “Hitler” in the bag he then went after his supporters:
“It’s all appealing to the worst prejudices, the worst weaknesses of the public, and instead of leading them and guiding them and being someone that they can look up to. And when the public is not right, you have to be there to do the right thing, to set an example for them. And if you don’t, then we’re going to be where we are today,” De Niro said.
In his roundabout way, De Niro is saying that Trump supporters are prejudiced, meaning racist. He also says the “public is not right” to back this up. In the context that he’s already referred to Trump as Hitler, that makes his supporters Nazis in De Niro’s mind.
I would like to point out that De Niro is complaining that Trump didn’t force the public to think in a different way, which is something that racists do. That means De Niro thinks Trump is a fascist dictator like Hitler for not doing the things Hitler did. He’s dumb.
While we’re here, I want you take a look at what journalism looks like in the Age of Trump. These words actually came out of MSNBC host Ari Melber’s mouth:
“This is a President, he’s not accused of as many things as some dictators, he’s closed the race by fighting democracy itself,” said Melber.
AYFKM? This is Melber saying, ” Yeah, Trump is pretty much Hitler.”
So Trump is accused of many things that other dictators have done? Like what? And he fought democracy itself? How? Show your work, Melber.
And so the “Trump is literal hitler” thing is back in liberal circles. I suspect a memo went out because check out this tweet from former FBI general counsel and Robert Mueller investigation lawyer Andrew Weissmann:
For those people who say we should just appease Trump, how did that approach go for Neville Chamberlain?
— Andrew Weissmann (@AWeissmann_) November 10, 2020
Neville Chamberlain was the British prime minister who negotiated the 1938 Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler before he turned and attacked the UK. It’s a little more sophisticated than De Niro, but he’s still saying “Trump is Hitler.”
If this going on now, what will happen with the recounts come in and Trump is declared the winner of the 2020 election? The crybaby liberals will have to invent “Super Hitler” to compare Trump to. Maybe some kind of nuclear-powered cyborg Hitler with “hate laser” eyes.
