If Joe Biden does become president, let’s remember the insane levels of gun control he has promised to dump on us. In addition to banning “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines Biden plans to tax the existing firearms and mags in private hands at $200 bucks apiece under the National Firearm Act. The hope is, we can’t afford this and will turn in our guns.
On Biden’s website in which he laid out his gun policy, he says he’s going to ban assault rifles and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. He also has a “buy back” plan to get the existing guns out of our hands, but just in case that doesn’t work he’s also planning to slap a huge tax on our firearms and magazines:
Regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act. Currently, the National Firearms Act requires individuals possessing machine-guns, silencers, and short-barreled rifles to undergo a background check and register those weapons with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Due to these requirements, such weapons are rarely used in crimes. As president, Biden will pursue legislation to regulate possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.
What he calls assault rifles are already rarely used in crimes, but this isn’t about making anyone safer.
The current tax on an NFA item like a machine-gun or silencer is $200 and it comes with a mountain of paperwork and hoop-jumping. Since Biden plans to make semi-automatic firearms and normal-capacity magazines regulated under the NFA, that’s a shitload of money for anyone with a reasonable firearms collection. I don’t know about you guys, but I’d be out thousands of dollars just to keep the guns and magazines I legally bought years and even decades ago.
There are an estimated 20 million “assault rifles” and 150 million “high-capacity” magazines in American hands right now. There will be much more if Biden takes office as that will start another Obama-style panic buy, but at $200 bucks apiece, it would cost American gun owners $34 billion just to keep what they already legally own.
That’s actually the point of this. Biden is hoping that people won’t be able to afford to keep their guns and will turn them in. He’s even planning on wrecking the economy to make sure everyone is hurting for money.
Luckily there are 3 ways to avoid having to pay for our own guns again:
1 – President Trump’s legal challenges overturn the election theft and Joe Biden is never able to introduce this unconstitutional gun control garbage.
2 – Republicans win at least one Senate seat in the Georgia run-off election and the democrats don’t gain control of both chambers of Congress, making Biden’s agenda DOA.
3 – Thanks to Trump, the Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority and would strike this crap down in an instant.
If all else fails, Joe is still Joe and doesn’t know anything about anything, including firearms. Due to his insanity and ignorance it’s unlikely he’d be able to craft a coherent gun control law:
“I said I’d take your AR-14s away,” said Biden.
That’s fine. Take all the AR-14s you want.
“I made a commitment that I’m gonna [do] everything in my power, in office or out of office, to get those assault weapons off the street, which I’ve done once already,” said Biden. “And those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale.”
That’s cool. Ban all the multi-round clips you want. Also, since you’ve already gotten assault rifles off the street, there’s no need to do it again.
“I believe in the Second Amendment but nobody says you can have a rounds — a magazine with a hundred clips in it,” said Biden.
I have no problem with that. Ban all the hundred-clip magazines you want.
“Who in God’s name needs a hundred rounds in a bullet, in a clip, with a gun you have?” Biden asked.
I’m with Biden on this. Ban all the hundred-round bullets in clips.
The problem with counting on Biden’s senility is that he’s a puppet and his string-pullers could craft a seriously shitty gun control bill. Let’s hope the first 3 things stop his handlers so we don’t become broke or disarmed or felons.
