This is not an encouraging sign. Less that 24 before he is sworn in as President of the United States, Joe Biden appears to have resigned from a mystery position in Delaware. Does he think he was the Duke of Delaware? Perhaps the Duchess of Dover? Who knows, but he gave an impassioned farewell speech like how someone who is resigning a post would do. There is really no other reason for this very short and utterly pointless speech.
Biden stepped down from his imaginary post in a speech in New Castle, Delaware on Tuesday. It’s unclear if he was delivering this speech to anyone in particular because there didn’t seem to be anyone in attendance. There sounds like only a handful of attendees and that can be chocked up to his family and the half-dozen people who appeared on stage.
Biden kicked things off by stroking his eyebrow for an uncomfortably long period of time. Perhaps this is how he jump-starts his brain.
“To my fellow Delawareans, on behalf of the entire Biden family that’s here today, I want to express how much you mean to me and to every one of us,” started Biden.
Biden then gave a list of reasons why Delaware has been so good to him:
“And it gave me a chance when I was just a kid, elected me and believed in me and sent me to the United States Senate before going to the county council,” said Biden.
Fact check: Joe Biden was elected to the county council before the U.S. Senate and this happened when he was an adult.
Joe then went with some of that unity stuff he’s been talking about:
“It’s deeply personal that our next journey to Washington starts here, a place that defines the very best of who we are as Americans,” said Biden.
So Delawareans are better Americans than the rest of the country? I wonder why he never said this on the campaign trail.
Biden also wanted to remind people that he knows a couple of black people:
“With 12 years ago I was waiting at the train station in Wilmington for a black man to pick me up on our way to Washington where we were sworn in as president and vice president of the United States of America. And here we are today, my family and I, about to return to Washington to meet a black woman,” Biden said.
Why when Biden tells this story, does it sound like he was buying drugs and picking up a hooker? Maybe that’s where his son Hunter gets it from.
Biden then tried to quote an Irish poet whom he referred to as “Jame Joyce” when he burst into tears.
“When I die, Delaware willber written on my heart,” Biden said.
Does he know something?
Finally, Biden talked about his son Beau who died of brain cancer in 2105:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I way only one regret. He’s not here. Because he-we-she should be introducing him as president,” said Biden.
Biden says Hillary Clinton should be president, that Kamala Harris should be president, and that Beau Biden should be president. He clearly doesn’t want the job so why’d he run?
Biden only talked for about 6 minutes and then brought out a Rabbi to give a blessing, because apparently he also forgot that he’s Catholic.
With slurred speech and his memory on the fritz, Biden’s Delaware resignation speech perfectly demonstrates why he should not be sworn in tomorrow as the leader of the most powerful country in the world. Is it too early to invoke the 25th Amendment? Joe’s incapable of the job and should be removed before he can do any damage.
