He should do likewise.
The clock is ticking on the political career of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, with a parade of women that he made sexual overtures to coming out publicly on a near-daily basis.
Between the mushrooming sexual misconduct scandal and his role in the deaths of thousands of elderly New Yorkers who perished in nursing homes where COVID patients were sent by Cuomo’s order, it is looking more and more likely that the Albany strongman’s days are numbered.
On Thursday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio added to Cuomo’s woes by effectively calling for his resignation at a press conference with other New York Democrats who are piling on now that the protective force field that he enjoyed while he issued dictatorial decrees, persecuted religious Jews and inveighed against then-President Donald J. Trump.
Life really is sucking for Cuomo these days.

Via The Washington Examiner, “Bill de Blasio calls on Cuomo to resign amid slew of sexual harassment allegations”:
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to step down on Thursday amid a flurry of sexual harassment allegations against the governor that have drawn bipartisan condemnation.
“It’s deeply troubling,” de Blasio said during a press briefing. “The specific allegation that the governor called an employee of his, someone who he had power over, called them to a private place and then sexually assaulted her is absolutely unacceptable to me.”
“It is disgusting to me, and he can no longer serve as governor,” he continued.
The mayor was joined by roughly 60 of his Democratic colleagues in calling for the embattled governor to abdicate his post.
“In light of allegations concerning the governor over the last several weeks, I will be meeting with members in conference today on potential paths forward,” New York Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said.
Cuomo’s seat got even hotter on Wednesday after an Albany Times Union report by a sixth former staffer who alleged that he put his hand under her blouse and groped her.
Unlike the previous ones, this one has led to the involvement of the police.

The possibility that Hizzoner has his eyes on bigger things now that he has destroyed the Big Apple with his own failed COVID policies and dismantling the police to boot and by helping to dislodge Cuomo, he may be positioning himself for his own run for the governorship.
It wasn’t that long ago when Cuomo’s bullying style and fake gangster bravado was drooled over by a corrupt media that deliberately ignored his obvious failures while elevating his profile to such a level that he was initially on the shortlist to be crash test dummy Joe Biden’s attorney general.
Sometimes life comes at you hard.
