One thing is for sure: Caleb Kennedy is not a democrat. The American Idol contestant was kicked off the show after a video surfaced from when he was 12 allegedly showing him next to someone in a KKK hood. Meanwhile democrat Ralph Northam is still the Governor of Virginia after a yearbook picture surfaced showing him in blackface next to someone in a full KKK outfit.
The NY Post reports:
“American Idol” top-five finalist Caleb Kennedy has left the show after a video surfaced showing him next to someone wearing what appears to be a Ku Klux Klan hood.
A representative for the show confirmed to The Post that Kennedy will no longer be moving forward in the competition.
Kennedy addressed his departure in an Instagram post:

“Hey y’all, this is gonna be a bit of a surprise but I am no longer gonna be on ‘American Idol,’” he wrote. “There was a video that surfaced on the internet and it displayed actions that were not meant to be taken in that way. I was younger and did not think about the actions, but that’s not an excuse. I wanna say sorry to all my fans and everyone who I have let down. I’ll be taking a little time off social media to better myself, but saying that, I know this has hurt and disappointed a lot of people and made people lose respect for me. I’m so sorry! I pray that I can one day regain your trust in who I am and have your respect! Thank you for supporting me,” wrote Kennedy.
All of this came about because some douchebag YouTube comedian found a video of Kennedy from when he was 12:

According to Kennedy’s mom, that’s not actually a KKK hood:
“I hate this has happened and how Caleb is being portrayed by people online. This video was taken after Caleb had watched the movie ‘The Strangers: Prey at Night’ and they were imitating those characters. It had nothing to do with the Ku Klux Klan, but I know that’s how it looks. Caleb doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. He loves everyone and has friends of all races,” said Kennedy’s mom.
The Strangers films feature a group of masked intruders who terrorize and kill people. The leader of this group is known as The Man In The Mask:
The video Kennedy made doesn’t contain anything racist like words or deeds, but it does seem like it is referencing this film. Basically this kid was cancelled because he couldn’t afford a better mask to cosplay with.
Kennedy should have declared himself a democrat because then he would have liberal protections against cancel culture. Here’s a picture from Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s college yearbook, when he was a grown-ass man, not a 12-year-old:
Northam claims he can’t remember if he’s the dude in blackface or the guy in the KKK outfit, but does that really matter? He also admitted to wearing blackface for a moonwalking contest, but because of that “D” after his name, hasn’t faced any semblance of cancel culture.
What we’ve learned here today is that American Idol contestants are held to a higher standard than democratic politicians and that’s another reason why the democratic party is garbage.
