AOC Wears ‘Tax The Rich’ Dress To Tax Haven Event For The Rich

Nobody would ever describe a food drive or charity car wash as a “gala” but a bunch of rich people paying top dollar to schmooze with celebrities certainly fits the bill. Socialist “working class” Rep. Alexander Ocasio-Cortez attended the ritzy Met Gala in NYC last night, which is nothing but a tax haven for the wealthy, wearing a dress emblazoned with “Tax the Rich.” Somehow the irony was lost on her.

Here’s AOC showing off her designer dress for the elitist function:

The dress was designed by Aurora James, who AOC proudly claims is a “black woman immigrant.” She left out the part about James being an immigrant from Canada, which isn’t the same thing as being a refugee from some shithole country.

AOC had an inkling that people might find it a bit hypocritical that a commie like her was going to a grotesque display of capitalism so she tried to get out in front of it:

Unfortunately for AOC, the haters did get wild flying off the handle. Mostly because the Met Gala is a charity event in which the wealthy pay $33,000 a plate and wealthy corporations reserve tables for $300,000 each.

The key word here is “charity” which means those expensive tickets and tables are nothing but tax write-offs for rich assholes. AOC was wearing a “Tax the Rich” dress at an event rich people use to avoid paying taxes. This would be completely absurd if it wasn’t AOC, but since it is, it’s par for the course.

AOC tried to put the haters in their place but ended up digging a deeper hole:

As you can see, AOC thinks of herself as a “working class” woman of color. As a U.S. Rep. she earns $174,000 a year, which puts her in the top 10%. She ain’t a billionaire, but she sure as shit isn’t working class either.

AOC also claims that her attendance at the Met Gala was a covert mission to, “puncture the 4th wall of excess and spectacle.”

It’s unclear exactly what that means but she may have achieved it. The NY Post reports that AOC did not pay for her ticket. That doesn’t mean she got in for free, just that someone else bought her a $33,000 ticket.

Here’s the problem with that. AOC said she attended the Met Gala as part of her official duties as a U.S. Rep., which means she accepted an improper gift and is a major House ethics violation. It’s also probably a tax violation, something she knows all about.

Speaking of which, did AOC ever settle up on her tax debt? She owed the IRS thousands of dollars from a failed business venture 7 years ago and, as of this year, still hasn’t paid.

Putting this all together, we can see what a complete fraud she is: AOC wore a “Tax the Rich” dress to a tax haven for rich people, including herself who still hasn’t paid her taxes.
