Nobody, including democrats, expect Joe Biden to run for re-election in 2024 because he’s old, decrepit, and terrible at the job. If there’s anything left of his mind, Joe probably knows he ain’t running too but he doesn’t want to lame-duck his illegitimate presidency. As such, he says he’s running again but with a huge asterisk: he has to be in good health, which he isn’t sure he’ll be.
Joe Biden sat down for a softball interview with ABC’s David Muir and the topic of 2024 came up because it was in the script:
“Do you plan to run for reelection?” Muir asked.
“Yes. But look, I’m a great respecter of fate. Fate has intervened in my life many many times. If I’m in the health I’m in now, if I’m in good health, then in fact I would run again,” replied Biden.
Watch the video. Biden is out of breath answering this question, which isn’t a sign that he’s in good health. If you get winded answering a scripted question, you’re falling apart.
Biden’s answer is actually pretty weird considering it was written by his staff before hand. They knew the question was coming and the correct answer is “yes” and then Biden stops talking. There’s no need for anything else but Biden gives himself an out by saying he’ll run if he feels good but he can’t imagine being healthy in 3 years.
In reality, Biden just said he’s not running, which is something he confirmed with the next question.
“And if that means a rematch against Donald Trump?” Muir asked.
“You’re trying to tempt me now,” said Biden.
If he fully intends to run for reelection, why would he needed to be tempted? He’s tempted because he isn’t running. That’s how this works.
“Sure, why would I not run against Donald Trump fever the nominee? That’d increase the prospect of running,” Biden said.
Again, if he’s running, there’s no increasing the prospect of running. These are the words of a man who doesn’t intended to run for reelection if he needs to be tempted and has to have his prospects raised.
In related news, Newt Gingrich doesn’t think Biden is running either. The former House Speaker was on The Ingraham Angle with guest host Raymond Arroyo when he was shown the ABC Biden clip. Gingrich was then asked why he thinks Biden isn’t running if he said that he is.
“Well, in all honesty, what choice does he have? You go can’t out there and say, ‘Look, I am doing so badly and my administration is so stupid, I think I will quit three years from now’?” said Gingrich.
That’s funny and so is this:
“I fully expect Biden to not run again. I think the Democratic Party would be in a state of shock if he did. I think Kamala Harris is weaker than Biden. So, the last rumor I heard was that Hillary’s gonna run. And I think that would say a lot about chaos of America if Hillary Clinton reemerged one more time,” Gingrich said.
Making this truly hilarious, Hillary Clinton is consulting Kamala Harris on how to be more linkable. Hillary is literally subverting Kamala’s chances so she can run in 2024 instead of Harris.
Gingrich is only part-right about what this all says: it’s not the chaos in America, it’s the chaos in the democratic party. They’re not even into a full year of Biden’s illegitimate presidency yet and already they are panicking about who the 2024 nominee will be. It’s not Joe, it’s not Kamala, and it looks like they might have to dust off proven loser Hillary Clinton.
