The liberal media has a false narrative that the right is responsible for political violence, which is why this story flew under the radar. Almost 4 years ago, a Hillary Clinton supporter shot his friend’s wife to death in argument over the 2016 election. The liberal shooter was just sentenced to 35 years to life for this heinous politically-motivated attack.
The Long Beach Post reports that John Kevin McVoy was in a garage band with Victor Garcia. On January 10, 2017, McVoy was at Garcia’s North Long Beach, California house for band practice. The two were sitting around with friends and Garcia’s wife, watching Obama give a speech, when everyone started talking about who they voted for in the 2016 election.
Someone joked with McVoy that he voted for Donald Trump. McCoy responded that he actually voted for Hillary Clinton. Garcia jokingly told McVoy to “get the f*ck outta my house” but McVoy took it seriously. He pulled out a gun and shot Garcia in the back of the head. He then trained the gun on Garcia’s wife, Susan, and shot her in the chest as she sat with the couple’s 2-year-old daughter on her lap.
The other people at the residence tackled McVoy and disarmed him. One person took the 2-year-old to neighbors house while another called 911. As McVoy was being held, he was asked why he shot the Garcias. His response was that Victor Garcia was “a jihad.”
Victor Garcia was taken to the hospital where he underwent brain surgery and was in a coma for a week. When he woke up, he learned that his wife Susan had died.
McVoy was arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder. He was convicted on all charges last month and, as KTLA reports, was sentenced this week to the maximum, which is 35 years to life in prison.
The media is reporting that McVoy expressed remorse at his sentencing:
McVoy said he didn’t intend to hurt anyone and apologized to the family.
“As far as my remorse, I think about this every day,” McVoy said.
What did he think was going to happen when he pointed a gun at people and pulled the trigger?
At trial, McVoy’s attorney argued that he shot Garcia in self-defense after being threatened but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Laura Laesekce said McVoy was at fault for bringing the loaded gun and aiming it at Garcia.
He defended himself against what? Getting made fun of for voting for loser Hillary Clinton? That’s a worse excuse than Hillary has for losing the election.
I was going to say it’s pretty amazing that nobody ever heard of this story but it goes against everything the liberal media tries to push. A Hillary Clinton supporter flipping out and shooting people runs counter to their narrative that right-wing Trump supporters are violent.
If this had been someone who voted for Donald Trump shooting and killing a woman, it would have been big news. The liberal media would have used it to fuel TDS, gun control, and hate crime hysteria but with a Hillary supporter, there’s nothing for them to exploit or sensationalize.
