Democrats have spent the past year trying to make the mild protests of January 6 into a “deadly insurrection” but nobody is buying it. Speaking of things nobody will buy, how about a ticket to the Hollywood movie treatment of January 6? Seriously, they are making a film based on the nothing burger Capitol riot.
Deadline reports:
The January 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol, considered the worst domestic attack on democracy since the Civil War, will be the subject of J6, a feature film scripted and to be directed by Billy Ray as his follow-up to the highly rated Showtime miniseries The Comey Rule. Joining him is Adam McKay, who is in the Oscar hunt now for Don’t Look Up. McKay will produce along with Todd Schulman, Josh McLaughlin, Cullen Hoback and Shane Salerno, latter of whom was exec producer on the Jeff Daniel-Brendan Gleeson starrer The Comey Rule.
So the guy who directed a a fluff piece on scumbag James Comey is now doing a J6 movie? I’m sure it will be fair and accurate. Or not. In fact:
Ray had originally expected to long look at the events of January 6 in the form of another limited series. Deeply affected by the attack, he traveled to Washington, D.C. within days of the siege, and interviewed a number of the key principals when memories were raw and fresh. That included Capitol police officers Michael Fanone and Harry Dunn, as well as members of Congress who were trapped inside the Capitol when the violent siege unfolded. Fanone consulted on the screenplay throughout the process.
This is going to be an overwrought piece of revisionist history to help the democrats sell their lie that democracy almost died on January 6. I can’t expect this to be anything but bullshit, but there are a few scenes I hope they include:
When FBI informant Ray Epps instigated the crowd to storm the Capitol.
Eric Swalwell pushing and trampling his female colleagues to escape first.
That moment when someone took a shit in Nancy Pelosi’s office.
When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was almost raped and killed by a Capitol Police officer who was trying to safely evacuate her.
I also have some thoughts on casting:
John Sullivan, the Antifa/Black Lives Matter agitator who filmed Ashli Babbitt’s murder could be played by Colin Kaepernick.
Jacob Chansley, AKA Jake Angeli, AKA the Buffalo guy, AKA The QAnon Shaman can actually play himself since he’s a crisis actor. If he’s still in jail, they should use SNL’s Pete Davidson since he’s a fricken weirdo with lots of tattoos.
Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who the media said was killed by insurrectionists but actually died of natural causes the next day, should be played by magician Criss Angel because the role calls for an illusionist who isn’t what he seems.
The role of Capitol Police Lt. Mike Byrd, who shot Ashil Babbitt to death, should definitely go to Alec Baldwin. Yes, Byrd is black and Baldwin is white, but Hollywood liberals love doing blackface. Also, let’s face it, Alec Baldwin has real world experience with shooting an unarmed white woman to death.
The real challenge in casting will be filling the roles of all those FBI informants and undercover federal agents who planned and executed the January 6 riots.
I predict less people will pay to see this stupid movie than people who were actually charged with insurrection on January 6. Okay, probably more than zero people will watch this film but not much.
