Joe Biden’s presidency has been a complete disaster and his approval ratings are in the crapper. He desperately needs a win which makes it really hard to believe that he just took out the leader of ISIS. Maybe he did, but there’s some serious issues with the reports concerning the Special Forces raid.
Fox News reports:
ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi was killed in a “successful” U.S. Special Operationscounterterrorism mission in northwest Syria Thursday, President Biden and the Pentagon have confirmed.
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said there were no U.S. casualties. Al-Qurayshi was wearing a suicide vest that detonated during the raid, sources told Fox News.
U.S. senior administration officials told Fox News that planning for Thursday’s operation in the village of Atmeh was on the level and scale of the 2011 raid on Usama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan.
There’s red flag #1 as the bin Laden raid was almost certainly bullshit. And here’s red flag #2 from NBC’s Raf Sanchez:
Biden confirms the raid in Syria was aimed at the new-ish ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi.
Very few Americans will be familiar with him. But to be fair very few people anywhere know much about him.

So nobody ever heard of this guy but he was the leader of ISIS? Sounds a little fishy to me. So do the details of the raid:
Omar Saleh, a resident of a nearby house, told the Associated Press he was asleep when his doors and windows started to rattle to the sound of low-flying aircraft at 1:10 a.m. local time. He ran to open the windows with the lights off, and saw three helicopters. He then heard a man, speaking Arabic with an Iraqi or Saudi accent through a loudspeaker, urging women to surrender or leave the area.
“This went on for 45 minutes. There was no response. Then the machine gun fire erupted,” Saleh said. He said the firing continued for two hours, as aircraft circled low over the area.
U.S forces reportedly had 3 helicopters that circled the complex, firing constantly for 2 hours, and they somehow were unable to kill al-Qurayshi? How is that even possible? The entire building would have been rubble.
There’s also an issue with the collateral damage. Fox News reports that when the raid started, al-Qurayshi’s family safely evacuated the area and yet:
US Special Forces conducted a “successful” counterterrorism mission in northwest Syria Wednesday, the Pentagon says, while offering few other details. The Syrian civil defense says 13 were killed, including 6 children, after clashes following the raid. https://t.co/k9PI3oeky1

Presumably that means there were 12 civilian casualties in this raid, none of who were the family of al-Qurayshi. Remember, the American forces evacuated the area 45 minutes before the shooting began. Who are these 12 dead civilians?
This is looking a lot like the incident during Biden’s botched Afghanistan pull-out where he claimed to have taken out a high-value ISIS target but really just blew up an innocent family with a drone strike.
The biggest red flag in this story however is that the liberal media is praising Biden for his bold leadership. When Trump took out jihadis, who were actual known terrorists, the liberal media accused him of murder and provoking war. They also referred to his “victims” as “austere scholars.” If Trump had launched a raid on a guy nobody ever heard of before and 12 innocent civilians died, it would have been reported as a war crime.
Biden needs a win and the liberal media is trying to give it to him. There’ no reason to trust Biden or the media and chances are, this entire story is bullshit.
