Who would want to blow up Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff? Who even knows who the hell he is? I don’t have the answers to those questions but I do know that Kamaltoe’s hubby was evacuated from an elementary school after there was a bomb threat. Maybe this will finally put him on the map.
The Hill reports:
Second gentleman Doug Emhoff was escorted out of a Black History Month event at a Washington, D.C., high school on Tuesday after the school reported a security threat.
Emhoff visited Dunbar High School in Northwest Washington, where he heard from school leaders about its Black history program that partners with the National Park Service.
About five minutes after Emhoff arrived at the school’s history wing, a Secret Service agent ushered him out. Emhoff’s staff relayed to reporters attending the event that there was a security threat reported by the school to Secret Service.
A spokesperson for D.C. Public Schools told a reporter at the scene there was a bomb threat reported at the school. Teachers and students in the building were also evacuated.
“We had a threat today to the facility so … basically we took the precaution of evacuating everybody, as you saw. I think everyone is safe. The building is clear. But I don’t have any specific details at this moment,” said press secretary Enrique Gutierrez.
They “basically” took the precaution of evacuating and he thinks everyone is safe? If it wasn’t specifically an evacuation, what the f*ck was it? Also, is everyone safe or not? Aren’t press secretaries supposed to be good at communicating?
Whatever.
I have a few theories as to what took place today:
1 – A student called in the bomb threat because the idea of listening to Doug Emhoff talk about anything is unbearable, even to elementary school children.
2 – Doug arranged to have one of his staffers call in the bomb threat because he really didn’t want to spend the day at a ghetto school.
3 – Kamala Harris called in the bomb threat because she want to boost Doug’s self-esteem by making him think he’s important enough to blow up.
I don’t know why, but I find this the funniest thing about this story:
Emhoff’s event was one of the ways the White House is seeking to highlight Black History Month.
So the White House was trying to highlight Black History Month by sending a rich white guy to a black school? In what way does that highlight Black History Month? Technically, they were able to highlight the month since there was a bomb threat at an event that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Maybe that’s #4 on my theories of what really happened.
I guess Emhoff is the first man-bitch spouse of an illegitimate vice president who happens to be half-black, but it’s stretch to say that has historical significance to the black community.
Just imagine the look of disappointment on the black students faces when their teacher introduced a goofy white guy they’ve never heard of before as their guest for Black History Month. This supports my first theory that it was one of the students who phoned in the bomb threat.
