When Confronted With Hoaxes Pushed By CNN, Brian Stelter Says It’s A Right-Wing Conspiracy

CNN isn’t the world leader in fake news for nothing. They have pushed hoaxes, false stories, and democratic party propaganda for years and have had to issues dozens and dozens of retractions. Ironically, at a “disinformation” forum, CNN host Brian Stelter was confronted with his network’s fake news history and dismissed it all as a right-wing conspiracy.

At the University of Chicago’s “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference, this student had the best question ever:

“You’ve all spoken about Fox News being a purveyor of disinformation. But CNN is right up there with them. They pushed the Russian collusion hoax, they pushed the Jussie Smollett hoax, they smeared Justice Kavanaugh as a rapist and they also smeared Nick Sandmann as a white supremacist, and, yes, they dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop affair as pure Russian disinformation,” started the student.

“With mainstream corporate journalists becoming little more than apologists and cheerleaders for the regime, is it time to finally declare the cannon of journalistic ethics dead or no longer operative? All the mistakes of the mainstream media, in particular, seem to magically all go in one direction. Are we expected to believe that this is all just some sort of random coincidence or is there something else behind it?” the student asked.

As great as that question was, Brian Stelter’s answer was complete shit. First he joked that he couldn’t answer the question because it was lunch time, which is only funny because he’s fat.

“In my honest answer to you, and I’ll come over and talk to you in more detail, is that you’re describing a different channel than the one I watch. But I understand that is a popular right-wing narrative about CNN,” said Stelter.

His “honest” answer is that none of what the student brought up was true and that it was all just a right-wing conspiracy to smear CNN? I know he has no idea what news is, but he can’t even understand the basic concept of telling the truth.

The thing is, CNN did push all of the hoaxes the student brought up and in the case of Nick Sandmann, they settled a lawsuit for millions because they portrayed him as a white supremacist. As for the Hunter Biden laptop, that the fake news has finally admitted is real, Stelter himself called it “Russian disinformation.”

As for the student’s assertion that these fake news stories only seem to go against Republicans, Stelter made it clear he’s no shill for the democratic party:

“And with regards to the regime, I think you mean the President Biden? The last time I spoke with a Biden aide, we yelled at each other. So that’s the reality of the news business that people don’t see, that people don’t hear. They imagine that it’s a situation that simply is not,” Stelter said.

See, he yelled at a Biden aide, so he’s 100% unbiased. Of course, he didn’t name this aide, or describe what the yelling was over but that’s probably because it never happened.

Stelter finished off his bullshit answer with some more bullshit:

“But I think your question, it speaks to the failure of journalism to show our work and show the reality of how our profession operates. We have a lot of work to do, I think,” said Stelter.

If CNN actually showed the work behind their fake news, it would be exposed as fake news instantly. What’s the “work” behind all of their crap? We just made it up because it is damaging to Republicans? There’s no way CNN would do that.

Stelter was asked if the lies pushed by CNN meant that journalism was dead and his response was to lie and put two shots into the back of journalism’s dead corpse’s head. And the fact that he did this at Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy conference makes it the most hilarious piece of fake news ever.
