It used to be the criminalization of marijuana was racist because black people like to get high. Now that marijuana has been legalized in many states, it’s still racist. Why? Who knows? My guess is liberals are running out of make-believe shit to freak out about.

Gov. Jay Inslee recently signed a bill striking the word “marijuana” from the text of all state law. The measure says to use the word “cannabis” instead.
The effort in Washington is part of a national movement to retire the word.
Washington Democrat Melanie Morgan, who sponsored the bill in the state House, calls the word marijuana “pejorative and racist.” Morgan said replacing it is merely one way to create change.
Earlier this year, Maine and Virginia also introduced bills about striking the word marijuana from their laws.
Recreational weed is now legal in these states. But lawmakers are seeking to address the ways that decades of anti-drug policies continue to affect communities of color. For instance, arrests and incarceration for drug crimes have hit Black and Latino communities hardest. Arrests can make it harder to find a job, buy a home and build generational wealth.
“This is just another layer, of peeling off the systemic racism that’s built in our system,” said Morgan.
If you are confused, don’t be. This makes absolutely no sense. The report goes on to detail how liberals d-bags like Morgan falsely believe that the term “marijuana” was used to demonize Mexican immigrants who smoked it. Apparently Morgan forgot to take into account that “marijuana” is what these Mexican immigrants called the stuff they were smoking. Also, the efforts to portray marijuana as an evil drug began in the Mexican press.
Following the liberal logic: The Mexican press launched a disinformation campaign against Mexicans smoking marijuana and therefore it’s racist against black people.
When confronted with the insanity of her beliefs, Morgan stuck to her false narrative:
For her part, Rep. Melanie Morgan stands by the new measure nixing the word marijuana from state law. But she also said she welcomes more information and debate about the linguistic history of the word.
“I’m glad that this is causing conversations, because what this is doing is actually opening the door to bigger issues,” said Morgan.
I don’t think she should be glad that this is opening doors because they only thing it reveals is how democrats are full of shit and waste time and money doing useless things like this.
Behind door #1 is Melanie Morgan saying, “I just passed a law based on a lie that doesn’t fix a problem that actually exists.”
In addition, it exposes the liberal tendency to attribute racism to universal themes because black people are included. Yes, black people smoke weed but so does everyone else. This is like saying shoes are racist because many black people wear them.
All this shows is that liberals are struggling to find anything remotely racist in our post-racial society. If the worst example of systemic racism they can find is calling it “marijuana” that’s a pretty good indicator that racism is a thing of the democratic party’s past.
Here’s a weird thing. I wanted to include a picture of a black guy doing a bong hit for this article, but none exist. Maybe bongs are racist. Somebody should DM Melanie Morgan and let her know about this racist atrocity.
