Liberals make up a lot of rules that are to their advantage like excusing them from racism and sexism, but for some dumb reason they keep letting Joe Biden also set the rules. The former democratic Senator and VP came up with a rule that said Presidents can’t nominate Supreme Court Justices in election years and that ended up costing Obama in 2016. Biden also created a rule that says the FBI can’t investigate Supreme Court nominees for sexual assault, which puts a damper on his party’s effort to derail President Trump’s SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Back in 1992, when he was a Delaware Senator and Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden informed president George Bush Sr. he was not allowed to nominate a Supreme Court Justice because it was an election year. That became known as the “Biden Rule” and in 2016 when Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland for Antonin Scalia’s vacant SCOTUS seat, the Republican-controlled Senate cited Biden’s rule and refused to give the nominee a hearing or a vote. Making it even funnier, Biden was Obama’s vice president.
Current Trump SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh has been accused of inappropriately touching a woman over 35 years ago in one seriously hard-to-believe story. This allegation was sprung in the 11th hour by democrats trying to delay and ultimately destroy Kavanaugh’s nomination. Those same democrats are screaming that FBI must investigate these ridiculous allegations, but as a fate would have it, Biden has a rule for that too.
Back when then-Senator Biden was in charge of the Senate confirmation hearings for Clarence Thomas, democrats tried a similar dirty trick and rolled out Anita Hill to make unsubstantiated claims of sexual harassment. Also back then, the democrats were screaming for an FBI investigation to derail a well-qualified judge’s Supreme Court nomination. Here’s what Biden had to say on the subject of an FBI investigation into the allegations:
My Democrat friends might want to consider this from then-Judiciary Committee Chairman JOE BIDEN (D-DE) In 1991: The ‘FBI Explicitly Does Not, In This Or Any Other Case Reach A Conclusion, Period’ pic.twitter.com/NvAI3RqevL

“The next person who refers to an FBI report as being worth anything, obviously doesn’t understand anything. The FBI explicitly does not, in this case or any other case, reach a conclusion, period. Period,” said Biden.
Even back then Biden knew democrats don’t understand anything, which is weird since he’s also a democrat with a serious lack of understanding.
“The reason why we cannot rely on the FBI report — you wouldn’t like it if we did: because it is inconclusive. They say ‘he said,’ ‘she said,’ ‘they said,’ period. So when people wave an FBI report before you, understand they do not, they do not, they do not reach conclusions. They do not make, as my friend points out more accurately, they do not make recommendations,” Biden said.
There you have it: an FBI investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against a Supreme Court nominee is inconclusive and pointless. Hey, it’s Biden’s rule so obviously the current crop of hysterical democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee will drop their unreasonable demand for an FBI investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh, right?
As I said, the left has pretty good rules covering their asses for all kinds of abhorrent behavior, but they seriously need to stop Joe Biden from making up rules. He’s seriously hurting their agenda.
