If President Trump said that the executive branch was the best branch of government, democrats would hyperventilate and accuse him of destroying democracy. Nancy Pelosi just declared Congress the superior branch of government and so far the democrats seem to think democracy is safe. Obviously the power of the return of the Speaker’s gavel has gone to her head, but the good news is there’s something in there besides a swarm of flies laying eggs in that shriveled lump of shit that used to be her brain.
Pelosi was being interview by The Washington Post and was asked if the clusterf*ck of Congress under her leadership was functioning as a co-equal branch of government.
“I think we’re a superior branch, quite frankly. We have the power to make the law and the president enforces the law. So we have a big role. We’re closest to the people and we have a big role to play,” Pelosi said.
Elizabeth Warren thinks there are 2 branches of government and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes their are 3 “chambers” of government as well as 3 chambers of Congress. There are however 3 co-equal branches of the federal government as part of the checks and balances of the Constitution: the Legislative branch (Congress) makes the laws, the Executive branch (President) enforces the laws, and the Judicial branch (Supreme Court) interprets the laws. They all have equal power to shape the law and act as a safeguard on one another to keep any one branch from exceeding its authority.
With Pelosi proclaiming Congress as the superior branch, she’s clearly trying grab power away from the other branches for herself. Again, if this was Trump saying this it would be a f*cking Constitutional crisis. Pelosi would try to impeach the President for saying what she said.
Like every other thing out of her mouth, this is complete bullshit. Congress is a dysfunctional mess that can’t even perform its basic purpose.
Think about it like this:
The President’s job is to enforce the law and Trump performs the duties of his office even with massive interference from the democrats. He gets the job done every time.
The Supreme Court’s job is to interpret the laws to determine if they are Constitutional and they do this without issue.
The Congress’ job is to pass laws but they rarely ever do that. Under Pelosi’s leadership all they’ve done is try to delegitimize the President of the United States, which is definitely not one of their Constitutional powers. the one thing they are supposed to do, they don’t do.
So you tell me, which of these branches is superior? One of the two that functions as they are supposed to or the one with its head stuck up its own ass? If the government were the Three Stooges, Congress would be Curly: bloated, incompetent, and self-destructive. Actually they’d probably be more like Shemp but you get the point.
Nancy Pelosi has a very high opinion of herself, often describing herself as a “master legislator.” Now she claims that her branch of government is superior. The only thing I can think of here is that she doesn’t own a mirror and has never watched herself on TV, because she’s a nightmare. There isn’t anything about her that isn’t terrible from her soul to her pie hole.
