The House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties held a hearing today about giving reparations to descendants of slaves. Because the democrats in charge are not remotely serious people, they brought in Danny Glover to give his “expert” testimony as a Hollywood actor. Somehow they accidentally let former Oakland Raider player Burgess Owens testify and, holy shit!, he destroyed the democrats on racism, reparations, and pretty much every thing else, which is why you won’t see anything about it on the liberal news.
Another puzzling thing about this hearing was the fact that fired chicken aficionado Rep. Steve Cohen was the chairman. Nothing like a guy who brings a bucket of KFC to work to preside over a hearing about slave reparations, huh?
Owens started off his testimony with this truth bomb:
“I used to be a Democrat until I did my history and found out the misery that that party brought to my race,” said Owens.
Besides the racist history of the Democratic Party, Owens pointed out that there’s a reason why they are on the left side of politics:
“Ideologies don’t change, people do. We are fighting for the heart and soul of our nation against socialism, marxism and the evil it has brought us and the stealing of our history,” said Owens.
Owens said he is against reparations because it is another attempt by the democrats to keep the black community in a constant state of victimhood.
“I do not believe in reparations. Because what reparation does is it points to a certain race, a certain color, and it points to them as evil. And it points the other race – my race – as one that has not only become racist, but also beggars,” Owens said.
But he would make an exception if the the real racists were the ones paying reparations:
“I do believe in restitution. So let’s point to the party that was part of slavery – the KKK, Jim Crow, that has killed over 40 percent of our black babies, 20 million of them. In the state of California, 75 percent of our black boys cannot pass standard reading and writing tests – a Democratic state,” said Owens.
Ouch, but it actually got worse:
“So yes, let’s pay restitution. How about the Democratic Party pay for all the misery brought to my race? And those, after we learn our history, who decide to stay there, they should pay also. They’re complicit. And every white American, Republican or Democrat, who feels guilty because of your white skin, you should need to pony up also. That way we can get past this reparation and recognize that this country has given us greatness,” Owens said.
I’ve said this before too. Let the descendants of the former slave owners compensate the descendants of former slaves. Let the political party who segregated the South pay restitution to those who suffered under segregation. You broke it, you bought it. Simple.
The democrats will never go for this for a variety of reasons: They’ve invested a lot into the bulshit narrative that Republicans are racist, so they can’t acknowledge their own real racism. They don’t believe in accountability when it comes to their own wrongdoing. They love spending other people’s money, but hate it when it comes out of their own pockets.
And most of all: If the democrats were to acknowledge their shameful racist history and take responsibility for it, black people might leave the party and then all they’d be left with are trannies and illegal aliens.
Owens absolutely decimated the democrats as racist commie hypocrites with this statement, but the good news is nobody will even know about it. The liberal media has their back and won’t report on this at all. If they cover the reparations hearing, they will only show Danny Glover saying he’s too old for this shit and won’t mention Burgess Owens or his profound truth.
