Last week the NYT was calling for gay reparations and I thought it was a big joke. That’s on me for underestimating the sheer lack of seriousness of the Democratic Party because Sen. Elizabeth Warren actually introduced a bill to pay reparations to gay people. I know, you are probably as floored as me that Warren has yet another plan to take our money and give it to people who don’t deserve it. Who saw that coming?

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., on Thursday reintroduced the Refund Equality Act, a bill that would allow same-sex couples to amend past tax returns and receive refunds from the IRS.
Same-sex couples in nearly 10 states were permitted to legally marry on the state level prior to the Supreme Court’s 2013 United States v. Windsor decision, which struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and permitted these couples to file joint federal tax returns.

A report by the Joint Committee on Taxation released Tuesday estimated that taxpayers who were in same-sex marriages prior to the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act in 2013 would be eligible for up to $57 million in refunds.
Yup, $57 million. To gay people. Pretending they are married like normal couples.
“The federal government forced legally married same-sex couples in Massachusetts to file as individuals and pay more in taxes for almost a decade. We need to call out that discrimination and to make it right — Congress should pass the Refund Equality Act immediately,” said Warren in a statement.
Compared to Warren’s other billion and trillion dollar wastes of money, this seems relatively insignificant, but it doesn’t make it any less stupid. Just because gay people couldn’t do something before it was legal doesn’t mean they deserve compensation. They sure as shit aren’t entitled to our money because of it.
I wonder how black people are going to take this Elizabeth Warren bill. They certainly feel they deserve slave reparations, which the democrats haven’t really moved on, but here’s one offering up gay reparations.
This also shows how disconnected Warren is from any actual problems this country is facing. On the list of priorities, giving gay people money they don’t deserve ranks somewhere around covering the Statue of Liberty with pink glitter. Solve every single real problem first and then we can talk about gay reparations and the answer is still “hell no!”
Here’s a better idea, how about the Democratic Party reimburses American taxpayers for the gazillions of our dollars they have wasted on stupid do-nothing bullshit? They’ve been throwing our money at garbage programs for about 100 years now and we deserve reparations.
While we’re at it, do a Victims of ObamaCare Compensation Fund where people who couldn’t keep their plans and doctors are compensated for both the lie and the higher premiums. This money shouldn’t be paid by all American taxpayers however, it should come only from democrats and the idiots who voted them into office. Fair is fair.
Obviously what’s going on here is Elizabeth Warren has traded in appropriating Native American culture for appropriating gay culture. That lesbian hairdo can’t be an accident.
