In the ongoing war for control of the party between Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the House Speaker held a meeting to tell members of the caucus to stop criticizing other democrats in public. Naturally AOC ignored this advice and immediately criticized a democrat in public. The dingbat freshman Rep. took Pelosi’s instructions as a personal insult and struck back accusing the Speaker of racism. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
On Wednesday, Pelosi held a closed-door meeting to tell her caucus to stop airing their dirty laundry and grievances in public. She didn’t specifically name AOC, but she did demand that caucus members stop tweeting their complaints about other democrats, so basically she did specifically name AOC.
“You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just ok,” said Pelosi.
In covering this earlier, I said AOC was going to feel attacked and would lash out. “This is only going to get better because if one thing is for certain, AOC will not shut up,” I wrote.
And AOC did not disappoint. Far from shutting up, she gave an interview complaining about all of the passive-aggressive things Pelosi has been saying about her and fellow idiots Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood, but the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color,” said Ocasio-Cortez.
Boom! There it is, right on the table: AOC plays the race card. She seriously just accused the leader of her party of racism for basically telling her to shut up and stop saying stupid things.
When I covered Pelosi’s remarks on Wednesday, I made this prediction:
I can only assume that AOC will say that Pelosi is scared of a strong woman and accuse her of being part of the patriarchy, since that’s how she deals with all other legitimate criticism.
So close. I thought for sure sexism but AOC went with racism. Actually, in my original draft I used the words “racist patriarchy” but removed the racism before publishing because I thought it was too absurd, even for AOC. Shame on me for underestimating her lunacy.
This is a feud that has been brewing ever since Pelosi got her Speaker’s gavel back. The media is fascinated by AOC and Pelosi wants all the attention for herself.
In April Pelosi dismissed the power of AOC and her band of merry kooks by saying, “That’s like five people.” She then said that a “glass of water” could have won the election that put AOC on office.
Last week Pelosi further dismissed AOC, Omar, Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley by saying, “All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world, but they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
The way liberals usually end an argument is by screaming “racist!” however that tactic only works with non-liberals. Here AOC has tried squash this beef with Pelosi by accusing her of racism but Nutty Nancy is a liberal too. That’s like trying to put out a grease fire with gasoline.
I have no idea what will happen, but I do know Pelosi is an angry vengeful woman who demands complete obedience from her minions. This AOC insurrection will not go unpunished. If I had to make a prediction I’d say Pelosi will stab AOC in the head with a salad fork at the next caucus luncheon.
