Hillary Clinton Demands Statehood For Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals won game 7 of the World Series becoming the first D.C. baseball team to win a championship since 1924. Is there any way Hillary Clinton can ruin this historic moment? Why yes there is, thanks for asking. Instead of congratulating the players for a great win, the democratic rash that just won’t go away tried playing politics by demanding statehood for the Nationals. Not for the city of D.C. mind you, but for the actual baseball team.

Hillary’s social media intern had the night off, so she got on Twitter herself and this is what witty thing she came up with:

There is a current liberal push to make both Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico into the 51st and 52nd states respectively. That’s not what Hillary wrote. She said the Washington Nationals should be given statehood. It’s a good thing she didn’t become president because she really has no idea how anything works.

One of the conditions for a territory becoming a state is it must have a minimum population of 20,000. The Washington Nationals aren’t a territory, they’re a baseball team with an active roster of 25 players, far short of the requirement. Nationals Park has a 41,339-person capacity, but none of those people actually live in the stadium. Come to think of it, the Washington Nationals don’t live there either.

This is just Hillary trying to seem relevant by tweeting about things she doesn’t know anything about. Do you think she watched the World Series or could even name one player from either team? Hell could she even name who the Nationals beat to win the World Series? No Hillary, it wasn’t the Ukraine Uranium Ones, it was the Houston Astros.

On the winning side of the 2016 election, President Trump simply congratulated the team:

And as it turns out, Trump isn’t just Making America Great Again, he’s making Washington D.C. sports great again. MWSGA?

Hey, no D.C. teams won any championships when Obama was president. Same with Bill Clinton. D.C. hasn’t had a ton of sports championships, but when they win a Republican is in the White House:

Trump – Capitols, Mystics, Nationals

Bush Sr. – Redskins

Reagan – Redskins, Redskins, Georgetown Hoyas basketball

And to think, Washington sports fans booed President Trump. He just gave you liberal aasswipes an MLB championship to celebrate.

The only time a Washington D.C. team won a championship in the modern era with a democrat in the White House was in 1978 when the Bullets defeated the SuperSonics in the NBA finals with Jimmy Carter as president. That’s a sentence that is so dated it might as well be: “I used the pay phone at the video store to call a cab.”

So Hillary Clinton wants to use the Nationals World Series win to push for D.C. statehood? What’s next for the irrelevant one? Dances with the Stars finals to promote the Green New Deal? Internet “rate my pantsuit” poll to call for gun control?
