Nancy Pelosi had a complete meltdown at President Trump’s State of the Union address, ripping up his speech in a childish temper tantrum. Now that she’s had some time to think about it, she says it was the Republicans who acted undignified for applauding the great economic news President Trump delivered. She also accused the President of racism and being on drugs, because she’s all about dignity and stuff.
In her weekly press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried her best to flip the script on her public meltdown during Tuesday’s SOTU:
“As you know, this week we had the State of the Union as required by the Constitution of the United States – the President is to submit in writing or in person the statement of the State of the Union. What happened instead was a President using the Congress of the United States as a backdrop for a reality show, presenting a state of mind that had no contact with reality whatsoever,” said the looniest most delusional person in politics.
Pelosi called Trump’s speech a “manifesto of mistruths” and then proceeded to give Obama all the credit for the current economy. It’s weird how Obama had a sluggish economy in his 8 years, but now that he’s gone suddenly things are doing great, huh? Most people with contact to reality would see that as Trump’s doing, but this is Nancy Pelosi we’re talking about.
Pelosi then turned her attention to Republicans who cheered Trump’s great message.
“We do not want the chamber of the House of Representatives to be used as a backdrop for one of his reality shows with unreality in his presentation and by the way, a serious breach to start shouting ‘four more years’ on the floor of the House. Totally inappropriate,” scolded Pelosi.
Later Pelosi was asked if perhaps her tearing up Trump’s speech was also inappropriate and below the dignity of the House. Spoiler alert: she doesn’t.
“I don’t need any lessons from anybody, especially the President of the United States, about dignity,” proclaimed Pelosi.
When asked if she will invite President Trump to deliver the SOTU next year, she went with this:
“Next year, we will have a new President of the United States,” said Pelosi.
No, but we will have a new Speaker of the House and he or she will be a Republican, so it’s a guarantee Trump’s 2021 SOTU is happening.
Pelosi was also asked if she hates Trump so much, why did she try to shake his hand before the address.
“It was also an act of kindness, because he looked to me like he was a little bit sedated. He looked that way last year, too. But that was that. He didn’t want to shake hands? That meant nothing to me,” replied Pelosi.
She just accused the President of showing up to the SOTU drugged out of his mind, which is more of that “dignity” she brings to the show.
Finally, Pelosi was asked if she’s worried Republicans will investigate Adam Schiff and the failed impeachment/coup attempt and she went full-bonkers with it:
“Their language is not anything that surprises anyone. But they have to know that when the White House speaks, those words weigh a ton and they are giving, encouraging people to do things,” Pelosi said.
Okay, she’s saying that investigating Schiff and the democrats will encourage people to commit acts of violence against them. Can this get any worse? Yes, with this debunked lie:
“Just said remember Charlottesville. People were coming down that hill with tiki torches saying ‘the Jews will not replace us, the Jews will not replace us.’ And what was the President’s statement? ‘Good people on both sides.’ Really? The Jews will not replaces us and there are good people on both sides?” Pelosi said.
She left out that part where Trump condemned all white supremacist hate groups and never actually said he thought there were good Nazis in Charlottesville, which is odd since the whole point of Pelosi’s press conference was to accuse Trump of being a liar.
She finished this off with a mumbly awkward claim that Trump’s rhetoric makes her a target of violence as well.
“There’s a mysterious view that they have about what their words, the weight their words carry. And there are people out there who, for whatever purpose, I know I constantly, I don’t want to go into for target that I am because of them but I can’t worry about that,” claimed Pelosi.
So while complaining that Trump’s rousingly positive State of the Union address was “beneath the dignity of the House,” Pelosi calls Trump a racist drugged out liar who is putting her life in danger. I think we can add “dignity” to the things Pelosi doesn’t understand like “abuse of power,” “obstruction of Congress,” and the recommended dosage for Botox.
