In Banning ‘Assault Weapons’ Canada Accidentally Banned American Coffee Company

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau loves him some blackface, but hates black rifles and even black coffee. Following a mass shooting in the country, Trudeau announced he was banning 1500 different “assault rifles” because that’s the kind of thing that can happen when you don’t have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. In this ban however is an American coffee company that doesn’t make weapons at all. I guess “Black Rifle Coffee Company” sounds scary enough to get banned in Canada.

There was a mass shooting in Canada that the U.S. liberal media ignored because they have a narrative that mass shootings only happen here and that strict gun control laws, like those of our neighbor to the North, stop crazy people from doing evil things. In any case 22 people were killed in Nova Scotia last month which prompted Trudeau to ban at least 1499 guns that weren’t used in the attack.

The National Post reports:

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced today that the federal government is banning 1,500 types of assault-style firearms, effective immediately.

“Canada has experienced mass shootings in rural and urban areas such as in Nova Scotia, city of Québec, Montréal, and Toronto. Whether at home or abroad, the deadliest mass shootings are commonly perpetrated with assault-style firearms,” the new amendment reads.

And here is that list.

There was one odd thing on the list that caught the attention of an American coffee company:

That’s not a Photoshop job or anything like it. That is an actual banned item on Canada’s list. Here’s a screenshot:

The thing is, Black Rifle Coffee Company doesn’t make rifles, they make coffee, hence the name. This is from their about page:

Nope. Nothing about them manufacturing firearms.

The model number that Canada has banned is the “BRC15B” which is not even one of their coffee brands.

It had occurred to me that perhaps there is a company out there called “The Black Rifle Company” because there are a several thousand boutique firearms companies that build custom AR-15’s. If such a company exists, they do not have an Internet presence, so it’s 100% that Canada has banned “assault coffee” as part of its efforts to make their country safer. Maybe sleepier, I don’t know.

There is a brand of coffee called “Yuban” so maybe the Canadians got confused and thought it was “you ban coffee” and that’s where this whole mix-up happened.

Just the fact that Canada banned this American coffee should call into question the legitimacy of the list and then entire ban. If they don’t know what the hell they are talking about with guns, they shouldn’t be passing legislation related to guns. Also, they shouldn’t be banning guns in the first place.
