All hail the great white dope…
Hope springs eternal with the Never Trumpers who are still a big presence in the Republican party and they have a new champion albeit one with a checkered past.
On Sunday morning, former congressman and radio talk show host Joe Walsh was rolled out as the latest version of the elusive Trump slayer that the Romney-McCain wing has been looking for since 2015.
Given top billing on ABC’s “This Week” with longtime Clinton family mouthpiece George Stephanopolous, Walsh was formally introduced to America and warmly welcomed by the host into the anti-Trump fold.
BREAKING: "I'm going to run for president," former Republican Tea Party congressman Joe Walsh announces on @ThisweekABC.

Via ABC News, “Joe Walsh announces Republican primary challenge against Trump”:
“I’m going to run for president,” Walsh told Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview.
When Stephanopoulos pointed out the massive uphill climb Walsh has in front of him in the primary thanks to Trump’s overwhelmingly high approval rating within the party, the controversial former congressman argued that conservatives should have an alternative to the president.
“I’m running because he’s unfit; somebody needs to step up and there needs to be an alternative. The country is sick of this guy’s tantrum — he’s a child,” said Walsh, who was elected to the House in the 2010 Tea Party wave, but only served one term before becoming a conservative talk radio host.
The “Republican” wing of the anti-Trump resistance is jubilant over Walsh’s declaration of his intent to run but they may very soon have buyers remorse as the so-called Tea Party leader’s history of racially insensitive tweets are already being unearthed.
Including one where Walsh tosses out the “N-word” as well as a racist pejorative for Hispanics.

Then there’s this:
Do you think one of the names under the sun will be "Muslim"? pic.twitter.com/0Fiatj2icc

Joe Walsh declared today that Trump "stokes bigotry." Joe Walsh has spent years calling for civilizational conflict with all Islam (aka, perpetual war) and explicitly demanded that all Muslims be barred from the US pic.twitter.com/bgmtK1UBbz

The truly amazing thing to watch will be the way that the same media that has falsely vilified Trump as a racist and a hater of Muslims will give Walsh a pass for saying things that the president never has.
Stephanopolous gave a preview on what can be expected from the newest star in the anti-Trump galaxy.
"Do you really believe he is a Muslim?" @GStephanopoulos asks Joe Walsh about his attacks and false claims about Pres. Barack Obama.
Walsh: "God, no! And I've apologized for that … we have a guy in the White House who has never apologized for anything" https://t.co/EPsH7RdwDm pic.twitter.com/XUYVJOKKt2

Meanwhile, another loser was practically given a tongue bath by NBC’s Chuck Todd on Press The Meat Meet The Press who hosted William Weld, the venomous Trump hater who was fake libertarian Gary Johnson’s 2016 running mate and himself has mulled running against Trump.
WATCH: GOP Presidential challenger Bill Weld re-electing President Trump would mean "four years of unadulterated, unrequited payback" #MTP #IfItsSunday@govbillweld: "I'm thrilled about Joe Walsh and Mark Sanford getting in" the 2020 Republican race. pic.twitter.com/sdeinIKOtj

You have to give one thing to the RINOs, RAT’s (Republicans Against Trump) and Never Trumpers in that they never give up.
Despite the parade of losers that will be trotted out to oppose Trump in the primaries, it’s hard to see how any of them could be a more hopless chump than Walsh whose campaign is likely only an audition for a gig as a regular on MSNBC or CNN.
