Pro-Abortion Witness Calls Sen. Josh Hawley ‘Transphobic’ For Saying Men Can’t Get Pregnant

We’ve know for quite some time that facts are racist but now it turns out the truth is also anti-LGBT. During a dumb abortion hearing, Republican Senator Josh Hawley was questioning a pro-abortion witness and was called “transphobic” for saying that men can’t get pregnant.

Because there are literally no real problems facing America, the Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. At least Missouri Senator Josh Hawley had a little fun when he questioned UC Berkeley Professor Khiara Bridges:

“Professor Bridges, you said several times, you used a phrase, I want to make sure I understand what you mean by it. You refer to ‘people with a capacity for pregnancy.’ Would that be women?” Hawley asked.

“Many women, cis women, have the capacity for pregnancy, many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy. There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy as well as non-binary people who are capable of pregnancy,” replied Bridges.

“So this isn’t really a women’s rights issue…,” Hawley started before being interrupted.

“We can recognize that this impacts women while also recognizing that it also impacts other groups. Those things are not mutually exclusive, Senator Hawley,” Bridges said.

“So your view is that the core of this right is then about what?” Hawley asked.

“I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them,” Bridges said.

“Wow. You’re saying that I’m opening up people to violence by asking whether or not women are the only folks who can have pregnancies?” Hawley asked.

“I want to note that one out of five transgender persons have attempted suicide,” said Bridges.

“Because of my line of questioning? So we can’t talk about it?” Hawley asked.

“Because denying that trans people exist and pretending not to know they exist,” Bridges said.

“I’m denying trans people exist by asking you if you are talking about women having pregnancies?” Hawley asked.

“Do you believe that men can get pregnant?” Bridges asked back.

“No, I don’t think men can get pregnant,” Hawley said.

“So then you’re denying that trans people exist. Thank you,” Bridges exclaimed.

“And this leads to violence? Is this how you run your classroom? Are students allowed to question you or are they treated like this where they’re told they’re opening up people to violence by questioning you?” Hawley asked.

“We have a good time in my class. You should join. You might learn a lot,” she said.

“Wow. I would learn a lot. I’ve learned a lot from this exchange. Extraordinary,” said Hawley sarcastically.

This is almost as good as when unqualified Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown-Jackson said she couldn’t define a woman because she “isn’t a biologist” during her confirmation hearings.

The thing is, it is a fact that men can’t get pregnant. They lack the proper plumbing and it’s never happened in the 200,000 years of human existence.

It’s also a fact that it is not denying trans people exist by stating that a biological female who is pretending to be a man is actually a man. We can all recognize that this confused person exists without having to lie about science. If a tans man was a man, that person wouldn’t need the “trans” qualifier. The “trans” suffix is synonymous with “not really a.”

Good job to the democrats for bringing this lunatic in to testify. This should totally get the Supreme Court to change their minds on overturning Roe v. Wade.
